Providence, RI ?
First of all, any wing with a breaded coating is a maximum 4 in my 3ook. (Contact us if you think you actually have good breaded wings – but I believe they’re Unicorns in that they don’t exist). The lack of meat in these overcooked wings was also another low point, the sauce was fair, very basic and nothing to shake any stick at – not even a metaphorical one.
Where to start with The Abbey – Not that any of us were alive in 1492, but at that time the world was thought to be flat and that Columbus would sail right off the face of it. The Abbey must have come up with their wing slogan around the same year for it to be accurate today, “World Famous Wings”. I assure you, the only things I would consider these wings famous for is how despicable they are to other wings.
The last, worst part is that Abbey has a wing day where they offer $0.30 or $0.50 wings – DON’T do it. If you’re wondering why I didn’t give any 1’s or 2’s – I don’t wait to wait for this day, but in my heart I feel there may be worse wings out there.
